Do you want to open an LLC in Bulgaria? Here are the types of companies, the advantages and how to open one

If you are thinking of opening a company in Bulgaria it is good to know that there are different types of companies in this country; the one that is mainly used by Italians who want to open their own company in Bulgaria is the SRL, which here is called OOD.
A distinction must be made immediately between EOOD and OOD:

• the EOOD is a form of limited liability company (the one usually chosen to benefit from the preferential tax regime for businesses) which is characterized by the presence of a single shareholder. A bit like what happens with the Italian LLC, it is the share capital alone that is liable to the creditors and not the tangible and intangible properties of the sole shareholder. It is therefore the ideal solution for those who are starting a personal business in Bulgaria.
• the OOD is similar to the EOOD to the extent that creditors can recover any unpaid debts only from the share capital; it differs from the EOOD in that to establish this type of company the presence of at least two partners is required.
