200, 110, 65. They are not three numbers to play in the lottery but they are, in their own way, magical numbers. These are the numbers that represent the number of students who, every year, are admitted to the degree courses in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Pharmacyin the Sofia University.
They are degree courses taught in English and therefore open to students from across the European Union. And therefore also to Italian students. Indeed, the Italian one is one of the most populous "colonies" within the Sofia University. The reasons? In most cases these are students who have focused on Bulgaria to have one more chance than just the Italian entrance test.

In fact, we know how complicated it is (euphemism) to be able to pass the entrance tests for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy in Italy. Few places available compared to an often striking number of applicants; entrance tests are often then contaminated by unclear selection procedures which end up always favoring the usual ones.
Therefore, those who choose to study Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy in Sofia do so because perhaps, having failed the test in Italy, they decide to give themselves a second chance. Some have even chosen not to even try in Italy and to focus directly on the Bulgarian international university.

But how does it work?
There is also an entrance test in biology and chemistry which is usually held in mid-September. Within a few days of the exam the list of winners is announced and it is therefore possible to enroll at the university. At that point the student will begin his course of study which, as mentioned before, is delivered (like the entrance test) entirely in English precisely to be enjoyed by an international audience.
At the end of the course of studies, the student who has successfully obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry or Pharmacy in Sofia is a professional recognized throughout the European Union, including Italy, where these qualifications are recognized by the Ministry of Health as equivalent to those obtained in an Italian university.

An additional opportunity, therefore, for students and their families. The latter can find in our agency fundamental support for all the procedures necessary for this "study project" to be successful. We follow students and families in the preliminary preparation of documents for enrollment in the entrance test, for enrollment in the course of studies, for all bureaucratic issues and also for finding accommodation in the city.
One less thought for families, one more opportunity for their children.
